Our smile happened this past Sunday. She had been smiling to everyone else except for mom and dad. But she finally gave in Sunday morning when she woke us up bright and early. PRICELESS!!!
I can’t believe that August is almost done. Our month started with a trip to Destin, FL. We had a great time with the Walpole family and enjoyed our time in Sea Grove. When we got back we celebrated Carisela’s birthday on the 15th. Carisela enjoyed her breakfast at IHOP, movies (Clone Wars) and a small celebration in the evening with Pizza and cake.
Today was first day of school and both kids did great. We have managed to get our routines down and now we are just bracing ourselves for a crazy school year. Today Nico did Kumon and Carisela had soccer practice. We are still waiting on Nico’s baseball schedule and will continue scouts. Carisela wants to do Daisies and will continue gymnastics. With Daniel working on his counseling hours, I am going to be a tad bit busy in the evenings.
This is my last week of maternity leave. I have been enjoying going to the gym and getting some projects done around the house. Where does the time go???

No time for an update yet, but I thought I would share these.
So today my mom flew back to Tucson. It was nice to have her here. Daniel and I were commenting how it has been a month that we have had family in town. My brother is in town right now and Monday my dad will be here for a couple of days. After Wednesday though, we will be back to being by ourselves.
Today I have finally gotten some much needed me time. Daniel took the kids and my brother out to visit our friends. I finally got a chance to work on my photos, paperwork, blog, etc. Marley is here with me getting in a nice nap. Just what I needed! I have a week to get things in order before our trip to Florida next week.

Yesterday was Marley’s 3 week birthday. She is doing so good and letting her mommy get plenty of sleep. One thing that is different this time around from the other two is that she loves to sleep in her crib. The other two were always in our bed. This has been a nice change. She also seems to nurse less because of this and actually gets long stretches of sleep.
Last week she went on her first road trip to Belton to visit my family. We had a fun time and she loved the fact that everyone wanted to hold her. This week Crazy Uncle (my brother comes into town). Since June 28th we have had family in town (they have all tagged teamed). It’s been nice having help for a month.
Next week we were planning a little vacation down to South Padre Island; however, Dolly changed all that. So now we are looking at Destin, FL. We never have been, so we will see how it goes.

Yesterday was Miss Marley’s 2 week birthday. We went to the doctor and she is doing great. She has finally made the 7lb mark. I have been enjoying mom and my little Marley Bug. The 2 older ones are in San Antonio this week having a blast with their auntie and Grandma. They already did Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld. I can’t seem to get motivated to write my thank you cards from my shower. Maybe they will get done today.
